ECB’s president, Christine Lagarde raised concerns about bitcoin stating that bitcoin is “highly speculative asset which has conducted some funny business”.
Earlier this year, the FCA law banning crypto derivatives trading came in to action. India said earlier on that they have intentions to impose a tax of up to 18% on bitcoin transactions. India believes that this would generate up to 1B USD in tax revenue.
Regardless of these developments BTC reached 40,000 USD on Friday.
