Global stock index futures drop; Euronext develops Ukrainian wheat derivatives; ACDX launches Bull Bear Strike tokens;
Global stock index futures drop
Last trading day for the month of January turned up mainly red for the global stock indices. Japan’s Nikkei index fell by 1.89% on Friday. During the European trading session, DAX index, which tracks Germany’s 30 blue chip stocks fell by 1.68%. France’s CAC40 fell by 2.89% by the end of the day. FTSE 100 futures also declined by 2.34%. Continuing to North America, the NASDAQ 100 futures fell by 2.39%. S&P 500 index futures fell by 2.19% while Dow Jones futures fell by 2.22%.
Collectively, all global index futures have recorded negative growths from the start of the year since 4th January 2021.
Euronext develops Ukrainian wheat futures
Euronext announced that it is in talks with Argus to develop a benchmark price for cash settled wheat futures. Argus will carry out the assessment and daily settlement prices of the Black Sea wheat grown mainly in Ukraine. Out of the entire global wheat production, Black Sea region accounts for about 35%.
The futures will be cash settled at Euronext. At present, CME is the largest trading venue for Black Sea wheat futures trading.

ACDX launches Bull Bear Strike tokens
ACDX introduces Bull Bear Strike tokens to the crypto markets making it the first crypto-exchange to introduce structured products. The Bull Bear Strikes allow the investors to specify a strike price and a knockout value. The product appears to be a combination of two options contracts. ACDX believes this will allow retail investors to control their risk in markets that moves against them.
